Book Review – No Trespassing by KD Robichaux

āYou site-stealing, dream-crushing, arrogant bag of dick tips!ā
No Trespassing was like a breath of fresh air. Well, actually more like a breath of earthy, underground cave air, as most of the book took place in the catacombs beneath NOLA. It was fun, passionate, exciting and completely unique. Emma, the heroine, was a feisty nerd who made me laugh, and Dean was a sexy, take charge man with knowledge and experience. Who knew that archeology could be so fun and sexy? If you want a unique, fun and sexy read with insta-love, I highly recommend No Trespassing. Iām hoping she at least comes out with a novellaĀ to follow this up, because I want more!

Book Review – Smut by Karina Halle

āSheās a bit much to take at times and Iām certain she still thinks Iām the worldās biggest wankerā literally and figurativelyā but I was getting used to her company. Writing with her was fun. Fighting with her was even more so. Maybe even hot. And hot is exactly what we need to bring to the table in order to rake in the dough.ā
I really enjoyed Smut by Karina Halle. It gently poked fun at the indie romance genre, but it wasnāt nasty, it was true. I love an enemies to lovers romance and Smut filled the bill with nerdy times, banter, fun, laughter and sexy times. It was cool to readĀ what an author goes through, and what happens behind the scenes of publishing a quick smutty novel. The narration was was pretty good, though his voice wasnāt quite as sexy as I would have liked. Still, if you are looking for a fun, light, sexy and unique read that delves a bit into the mind of an author, Smut totally fits the bill.

Audiobook Review – The Dirty Players Duet by Tia Louise

āZelda Wilder is no princess. The closest I am is a dirty Cinderella, an orphan on the run, and thatās not the kind of girl for a prince.ā
The Dirty Players Duet is aĀ Cinderella Story filled with deception, lies, action, espionage, sabotage, kidnapping, hot sex, romance, political intrigue, human trafficking, assassination plots and more. It was truly an unputdownable roller coaster ride of a read that grabbed me so much I wasnāt able to do anything but listen. The Dirty Players Duet needed to span two books because it is truly an epic tale of two couples told in a very unique way. My only complaint would be the male narrator in the first book, who had no sex appeal at all.. Still, I highly recommend this series, however you read it.

Book Review – Destiny On IceĀ by S.R. Grey

āI hate him but my hooha disagreesā
Destiny on Ice by SR Grey was a fun and sexy sports romance. Though the storyline was predictable, it was a ton of fun watching it play out. Aubrey was fun and likable with an awesome inner voice, but sometimes it seems she was speaking her thoughts out loud rather than thinking them, I wasnāt sure. I love the banter in an enemies to lovers story, and there was a lot of it in Destiny on Ice. All in all this was a light, fun read that kept a smile on my face the whole time.

Book Review – Out of Bounds by Lauren Blakely

āIām just a twenty-six-year-old guy whoās got his shit together and wants to go out with a woman he works withāa woman who has her act together too.ā
You donāt need to like sports romances to enjoy Out of Bounds by Lauren Blakely. It had everything I love in all of her books. Humor, banter, intelligent, mature characters who respect each other, dirty talking, just the right amount of hot sex, and a small bit of angst to keep it real. Once again, Lauren Blakely hit it out of the park (wait, I guesss I should say kicked?)

Book Review – Jaded Hearts by Harper Sloan

āGet these pants off me. I donāt even care that theyāre unicorns and a print I had to hunt down because all those eager bitches always steal the best ones first. Cut them off now. Cut them off!ā
I have ridiculously high expectations for a Harper Sloan book, especially one that spins off of one of my favorite series ever. I really enjoyed Jaded Hearts a lot, but it didnāt quite live up to my expectations. I felt like nothing really happened through a lot of the book, and I was wanting some action or some angst. It was just too easy for the couple; neither of them even stood in their own way with doubts, they were very sure of their feelings right away. With a stalker on the loose, a little action through the story causing tension and fear to build would have been welcome. Instead, the threat basically disappeared through the story. I loved the characters, I loved Harperās writing, but I just felt like I wanted a little more action or tension in the book to make it a true 5-star read that had me watch a coupleās struggle and then see them come out stronger in the end. I still loved it though, and totally look forward to the rest of the bandās books.

Book Review – Dashing Through The Snow by M. Leighton

āHeās sucking me in, pulling me under. Heās an avalanche and Iām being swallowed by him. A perfect stranger. How does he do it? How has he managed to throw me off, drag me in, lift me up, all in the course of a few minutes?ā
I really enjoyed the quick and sexy Christmas novel, Dashing Through the Snow. Though is uses the common trope of getting snowed in on Christmas with a stranger, M. Leighton was able to keep it fresh, fun and sexy. Though I wasnāt thrilled the way the angst played out, I still totally enjoyed this sexy, romantic Christmas story.

Book Review – Stealing Christmas by Alexa Riley

“Iād never heard her speak a word, and yet I knew she was kind. Iād never felt her touch, yet I knew she was tender and sweet. Iād never kissed her lips, yet I knew that she was the one. That she was going to be the mother of my heirs and the wife at my side. I knew all of that, and so I created this party and made sure she would be here.”
Despite my review sounding like IĀ disliked it, I didnāt. Ā I sat and read it on one sitting. If you donāt really think about it, itās a quick, fun and sexy read. But after writing so many books I thought the pair of authors would evolve and improve and it basically seemed to me that they spent aĀ fewĀ hours, followed a formula that worked and churned it out. I also thought he was a bit too creepy, but she was sweet and likable, though I have no clue what she saw in him.
If you like the quick books with the creepy recluse and the virgin, filled with insta-love and breeding, Stealing Christmas is a kind of cute, sweet and dirty choice.

Book Review – Being Brooke by Emma Hart
“Freaking hell. How long have I been sitting on the damn floor? Too long is clearly the answer here. I donāt want a dead leg. Why does it hurt? It shouldnāt hurt. Oh my gosh. I need a new leg. Quick, someone dial nine-one-one. Itās never going toā Oh. Itās gone.”
Being Brooke was one of my favorite books of the year, and is also going on an all-time favorite list. It was fun, quirky, silly and sexy. Itās a happy, easy book, and Brookeās hot mess of a personality made me realize I am not as bad as I thought! There was so much awkward in the story, but it is the sweet and sexy romantic awkward, like when you bump noses as you kiss. I had so much fun reading Being Brooke, and was so happy reading it that my husband and son must have asked me 50 times why I was smiling like an idiot so much. For that alone, I canāt help but give it my highest rating. I am so, so happy to read that Carly is getting her own book next!

Audiobook Review – Walk of Shame Series by Victoria Ashley

āI donāt fuck like a boy, I fuck like a man. I like it wild, wet, rough and rowdy. If you want a lover this is your chance to back out.ā
3 hot male strippers. 3 dirty talkers. 3 books filled with hot sex. Though these lean more towards sex than story, each of the books had a pretty deep story that made you more invested in the hot sex. I totally recommend it you like the cocky alpha-hole who changes for the right girl, has a lot of hot and filthy sex and is totally devoted to the heroine. I will be reading more from Victoria Ashley.

Audiobook Review – Hit the Spot by J Daniels

āYou want to bet me that Iāll want to have sex with you before you try and have sex with me?ā
Hit the Spot was the second in the Dirty Deeds series, and I totally look forward to the next. I really enjoyed this audiobook, but for me it paled a little in comparison to the first, Four Letter Word, which I loved. I fell in love with Jamie and Tori in the first book, but they seemed to have very different personalities in Hit The Spot. I loved Toriās feisty resistance until she broke down and gave in, then she became a bit of a doormat. I loved Jamieās relentless pursuit and cocky flirting until he lost it on her and called her names. Donāt get me wrong, I still enjoyed the story very much, but the thing that really bothered me, maybe because the audiobook made it stand out, was the way Jamie spoke. No pronouns, aināt, babe. double negatives, nuthināā¦these things made him seem a little on the stupid side, and not at all like a California surfer. Still, I love my pushy alphas; I am enjoying the series and totally look forward to the next.

Book Review – Mr. Bossy by Danika Dare

“I felt like I was living in a fairytale. A filthy, sex-filled fairytale.”
The last few quick and dirty reads I have read were a little too porny for me and lacked sophistication, and although Mr. Bossy is still total lady porn, there was something more. It was sexier, it was smarter and had more story than others I have read (and didnāt use cum as a verb). While some of it was still a bit pornier than I like, it still did its job. I enjoyed it, and ahemā¦had a satisfying end (so did Mr. Ana).

Audiobook Review – From Sand and Ash
“Somehow, the hope is the only thing resistant to the fear, and it is that hope that makes the next breath possible, the next step, the next tiny act of rebellion, even if that rebellion is simply staying alive.ā
From Sand and Ash is one of the most important books I have read since I began blogging. I feel like everyone should read it. The more we know about the past, the more we can recognize if it starts again in the future. The horrors of WWII are not sugar coated in any way, and Amy Harmon transports you to Italy during all of the events. There was so much background, and you know the characters so well that you feel like you are Eva. I literally felt her fear, and as I write this, I am flashing back to moments in the book and Iām crying again. Being Jewish, this story also helped me understand a bit more of my parents, who were children during this time. But you donāt have to be Jewish to relate and connect to this book. I honestly think From Sand and Ash should be required reading for high school students the way The Diary of Anne Frank is for elementary.
My words canāt do a book like this justice, but I can tell you that it will not only be on my best of 2016 list, but my all-time favorite list. Amy Harmon is an author that has been recommended so many times. I have several of her books on my Kindle, and just purchased more of her audiobooks. If they are even half as good as From Sand to Ash they will be 5 star reads for me.

Book Review – The Only One by Lauren Blakely

“Love isnāt all or nothing. Itās a million variations, and some days are better than others. Some are luminous, and others are muted, but none of them mean the end.”
Lauren Blakely started my year with an amazing book and ended it with another. The Only One was a little more romantic and a little less funny than most of her other books this year, and I loved every page of this second chance romance. It never felt like a novella to me, it was a full, rich story that never felt rushed, and it was filled with romance, dirty talking, hot sex, humor, and mature characters who arenāt overly prone to overreacting. It amazes me how much I love every single thing Lauren Blakely writes, and I will be dropping almost anything else to read what she puts out in 2017.

1.Ā Being Brooke by Emma Hart
From New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart, comes a brand new standalone novel. BEING BROOKE is a laugh-out-loud, witty, and sometimes highly inappropriate romantic comedy about being in love with your best friend. And how much that freaking sucks.
My name is Brooke Barker…
And I’m a freaking disaster.
No, seriously. Iām a college drop-out working a dead-end job, my best friend Carlyās dog gets more action than I do, and I have more bad dates in my diary than there are movie remakes.
Not to mention I’m completely and utterly in love with Cain Elliott.
The problem? Heās in a relationship. With a girl whoās so plastic she makes Barbie cry herself to sleep with jealousy.
The second problem? He’s my best friend.
My shut-up-and-put-on-Harry-Potter, yes-this-is-your-shirt, help-I-have-no-power, crap-Iām-out-of-tampons, kinda best friend.
And thatās all he can be, right?
Right.

Exhibitionist good girl.
She was in the business of temptation, and he was temptation incarnate.
He had money, looks, and a proposition that even she couldnāt resist.
Would Mr. Bossy make her break all of her rules?
Warning: This is a filthy, smut-filled, sheet-clawing, over-the-top, love story about finding forever in all the wrong places. This is romantic, smoking hot ladyporn at its dirtiest.
This standalone contains a HEA and a satisfying Epilogue. Enjoy. 18+ recommended.

3.Ā Naughty Boss by Whitney G.
He definitely wasnāt supposed to get that emailā¦
Subject: My Boss.
Have I already told you that I hate my boss today?
Sexy as hell or not, this pompous, arrogant, ASSHOLE asked me to pick up his dry cleaning the second I walked through the door. Then he told me that I needed to take his Jaguar to a car wash that was ten miles outside of the city, but only after I needed to stand in a never-ending line to buy some type of limited, hundred-dollar watch.
I honestly canāt wait to see the look on his face two months from now when I tell him that Iām quitting his company and that he can kiss my ass. KISS. MY. ASS.
All those former fantasies about him kissing me with his āmouth of perfectionā or bending me over my desk and filling me with his cock are long over. OVER.

11.Ā After We Fall by Melanie Harlow
Jack Valentini isnāt my type.
Sexy, brooding cowboys are fine in the movies, but in real life, I prefer a suit and tie. Proper manners. A close shave.
Jack might be gorgeous, but heās also scruffy, rugged, and rude. He wants nothing to do with a ārich city girlā like me, and he isnāt afraid to say so.
But Iāve got a PR job to do for his familyās farm, so heās stuck with me and Iām stuck with him. His glares. His moods. His tight jeans. His muscles.
His huge, hard muscles.
Pretty soon thereās a whole different kind of tension between us, the kind that has me misbehaving in barns, trees, and pickup trucks. Iāve never done anything so out of characterābut it feels too good to stop.
And the more I learn about the grieving ex-Army sergeant, the better I understand him. Losing his wife left him broken and bitter and blaming himself. He doesnāt think he deserves a second chance at happiness.
But heās wrong.
I donāt need to be his first love. If only heād let me be his last.
WOW! Look at those reviews!

You’ve seen the headlines: Womanizing billionaire player! Watch out! Stay away!

But I had never been drawn to a guy the way I was drawn to this one: my brother’s best friend, and CEO of the company where I interned.

The chemistry was amazing.
The laughs were incredible.
I opened up to him in more ways than I’d opened up to anyone before.
But sex was as far as I’d go.
Just sex because he was too irresistible.
Just sex because I wouldn’t be falling for him.
Just sex because I’d leave in three months, and I’d like for my brother not to kill me, and for nobody to find out he was my wicked little secret.
He wasn’t the One.
He was just a womanizer.
But for a time, he would be mine.

Thatās where Dahlia came in; my treasure. She had never been a submissive before and I was eager to train her.
When I saw her on stage at the auction, dressed in gold, I knew I had to have her.
Sheās mine for an entire month. I own her. But one lie changed everything.
Sheās going to pay for it. But Iām doing this for her own good. She needs this.
Iām going to make this right. Iām going to heal her.
If itās the last thing I do.
