Love Unscripted by Tina Reber is one of those books that has remained on my favorites list despite reading a whole bunch of other phenomenal books since. I have also become her facebook friend and her sense of humor and creativity keep getting better.
On to the book. Ryan is a MEGA star (I picture him like Brad Pitt). Taryn is a down to earth bar owner in a quaint New England seaside town. She isn’t into the whole Hollywood thing, and when a movie is being filmed in the town, she couldn’t care less. Until Ryan, being chased by fans, runs into her bar to escape…..and so it begins. I read this book back in September, and have probably read close to 100 books since then, but it still sticks out as a favorite. It was really long, which was great, because I didn’t want it to end. Just know that you are basically reading two books in one! Here is my review from September 2011:
Wow wow wow. I LOVE LOVE LOVED it!!! Notice the repeats? Well, obviously I felt pretty strongly about it. I’m exhausted because I barely slept, having to finish the book. For 2 days all I did was smile, then my heart broke and I cried and I was happy again…..
The fact that it was so nice and long was the best thing! We took our time getting to know the characters, and they took their time falling in love (or at least admitting it). I loved all the characters in the book, even the few I hated!
If you’ve read this book, my thoughts are that Ryan needs to get his ass out there and scream from the rooftops as he said, and maybe Taryn wouldn’t be so insecure. But who can blame her? I just hope in the next book Ryan keeps that part of his personality that would never be a cheater, and that Taryn doesn’t overreact. But then again, there wouldn’t be much of a story then would there?
I must say, at first I thought it was just a nice, meaty, feel good love story. Superstar falls for ordinary girl forever….the end. And honestly, the way it was written, that would have been OK. I was loving it. The first half of the book or more I couldn’t stop smiling. But putting the realistic obstacles a couple like that would face just sealed the deal for me.
5+ stars for story, 4 for heat (if I remember correctly).
This book was like reading two amazing books in one. Love Unrehearsed, book two, is coming, and I can’t wait to re-read this book before the next comes out!

[…] Love Unscripted by Tina Reber. A nice, long, meaty story about a big-time famous heart-throb actor falling for an average girl who has no interest in his stardom. Lots of real-life obstacles are thrown in their way. Some good hot scenes if I remember correctly. See my review here. […]
