1 Year Blogoversary Day 7

06/16/2013

PrintHappy Father’s Day! I hope you are all taking care of your guys today!!!

Last Blogoversary Giveaway! I am having so much fun reading all of your answers this week. This is the longest I’ve gone without REALLY reading. Then again, I had a book hangover from Tara Sivec’s Watch Over Me (See my review and another giveaway tomorrow!)

I started my ARC of Jasinda Wilder’s Falling into Us this morning (releasing this Friday)…it’s a long-ass book, and really good, and I want to go read! (See my review of Falling into You)

So here is my last blogoversary giveaway. I want to thank you all so much for following my blog, for clicking my links (remember, YOU don’t pay any extra, Amazon pays me a few cents every time you buy from my links or anything you buy that day after you click my links). This is why I can do these giveaways! So keep coming back!

Also, check all of my Top Picks Lists. I have lists for great BDSM romances, Rock Stars, Sexy books, Funny books, Biker Books, Best books of 2012 and more. I also update my Upcoming Releases a few times per week.

I am open to suggestions. Is there something you’d really like to see more of? Something I can do better? I like to make you happy! Let me know by sending me a message on facebook or an e-mail at ana@anasattic.com

I’m a hypochondriac. It’s something I deal with everyday, although last year seem to be easier, and it’s not controlling my life like in the past, I still have my bad days but I can cope with them better. Reading helps TONS. Keeps my mind occupied and a gives my mind a break lol. And now my sister talked me into getting on facebook and twitter I found all these cool contest and now I spend WAY TOO much time hunting for contest and less time worrying. 🙂

I was listening to Reflected in You (as a re-read) on audible and when I was at a Starbucks counter it started playing, during a sex scene and played for a good 20 seconds. I had to explain it to the barista AND there were a ton of people around me. I’ve had several other audible incidents. I swear it will be the death of me! lol

Me, too!! I have tons (like over a couple hundred, strong) of print books stacked up on shelves and in those plastic storage totes–half are still TBR! Plus, I have 1210 ebooks (at the moment) in my Kindle library, and another 30 or 40 in other formats on one or the other of my Macs. Unfortunately, I don’t get to read as much as I used to–or want to:( and I don’t know how I’m going to read all these books! Obviously, I could read what I have eventually; the problem is that I keep adding to the library every day and I can’t stop myself!

    Dear Mother Ana,
Forgive me for I have sinned…and really loved it! LOL The first time I tied my husband up during kinky sex, I was trying to get all “aggressive” on him and pushed him down in a computer chair. Well, the damn thing wasn’t locked in place like it should have been so it moved making him fall at a weird angle. Since my old man’s hands were tied behind his back, he couldn’t break his fall and ended up landing on his face. In the end, he ended up with a busted lip and black eye. What’s worse was we were visiting his parents house (shame on us for doing bad things in their house LOL) so when they went to bed he didn’t have the busted lip and black eye, but the next morning did. They were really suspicious about the whole thing. LOL It was so damn embarrassing because everyone kept asking him what happened and he kept jokingly telling everyone that I got too rough with him during sex! Of course no one believed him, but it was so freakin’ embarrassing!

Hmmm….another confession… well I would have to say that I am quick to try and re-enact any particularly steamy read scene with my hubs. I think he thinks I am just getting more adventurous with age, but no….it is totally attributed to my smut reading. He is not complaining in the least, I assure you.

As a matter of fact, he has you to thank Ana! I used to read a lot of James Patterson, Dan Brown, and John Grisham….then I read Fifty. I was in such a ridiculous book hangover, I didn’t know where to go next. So I consulted my friend Google….who led me directly to you! I read your post on what to read after Fifty Shades, and proceeded to read EVERY book on the list. They were all AWESOME! Since then, my book heart has been placed in your hands…when I don’t know what to read next….to your blog I go! Strangely, my book choices have gotten smuttier and smuttier….and I. Love. It.

    Thanks Ana! <3

I was invited to to stay the summer with my best friend at her uncle Hugh’s mansion when I was 14 (we lived in central Illinois). I was super excited to go and of course asked my mom if I could go without asking many details. Once she called Renee’s mom and found out that Hugh Hefner was the uncle she was talking about, that put the big ole kabosh on that and pretty much the friendship 🙁
My mother – I can see her being horrified at my age, yes, but the friendship didn’t need to suffer.

So of course, I cut my pants (in class) and when my parents asked what happened, I blamed it on a classmate next to me. Her parents apologized profusely and they paid for a new pair of pants. To this day, I wonder what happened to that poor girl…

My daughter was upset with me when I wanted to read on the bus last night (we had been at a Taylor Swift concert) and the only book she would approve of me reading in public was Harry Potter. another confession? You are getting a bit greedy here….well, here goes – I don’t know how to – WAIT…not that one…that one is illegal…has the statute of limitations expired?…nevermind
Growing up, I was the girl that held the bail money for all the guys. (I only had 3 girl friends.) The reasons I held bail money are their confessions to tell, but I always had at least half a gallon of Jack on hand for when the evening was winding down (or the sun was rising – depending on your perspective) or when one of them was home on leave. We’d usually drink it walking and lounging the perimeter wall on the roof of my 20 story apartment building. Those are some of the best memories of my youth.

I love romance books specially paranormal ones,Cynthia Eden got me hooked on them and from there I just read things written by Lauren Dane and Delilah Devlin and my daughter–who btw is 30 accuses me of reading porn and that I should be ashamed at age 50 reading stuff like that–I cracked up-but it gave me a wonderful idea,I would not call myself a cougar but the guy I am seeing is 33 and we have a great time, however because of my extensive reading ,I soon realized that he was boring me in bed.So one day I had outpatient surgery and they were working on my cable so the tv wasn’t working and the dr had said someone had to stay with me for a few hours and he was like well what am I going to do and I said, here is my kindle ,read a book-you are always complaining about how much I read,so here is your chance to see why and what I read. Now he borrows my kindle when Im reading my kindle fire and I have to say that our sex life has improved about 200%, he said that he wished he had read books like that when he was in his 20’s because until he read my books,he had no idea what women really liked. Now he has his brother and a couple of his friends reading them too and all of them have commented that their girlfriends think they are cheating on them so they had to confess where they learned that stuff and now they say that their sex life with their girlfriends have improved a lot, so we can consider our reading educational now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mistletoe All The Way by Lauren Blakely took me ri Mistletoe All The Way by Lauren Blakely took me right back to the charming Christmas town of Evergreen Falls, and I loved being there again! 🎄❤️A grumpy, Christmas-hating veterinarian, a sunshine heroine who lives for the holidays, a fun Christmas competition, adorable animals, and a little mystery made this such an entertaining listen! And the full-cast duet narration led by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon? SO GOOD! Lauren Blakely’s books are made for audio, and this one is no exception. This is book 3 in the Evergreen Falls series, but it can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone. Perfect for getting into the holiday spirit! See my full review on the blog at anasattic dot com (link in bio)

Sound on (first slide) for a sample of the immersi Sound on (first slide) for a sample of the immersive audio! The Winning Formula by Cara Veloce was such a fun surprise! The F1 details felt accurate to the 2024 season, with just the right balance of racing and romance for both F1 and romance fans. But the immersive audio production is what really made this stand out. With dual, duet, and full-cast narration, race radio, announcers, track sounds, and more, it felt like I was right there at the track. I work for @sawyerbennett123 so perhaps I’m a litt I work for @sawyerbennett123 so perhaps I’m a little biased, but Code Name: Harbor was like the perfect unputdownable listen. The suspense grabbed me from page one and never let go, plus there is a great forbidden romance, just the right amount of steam, and great narration. It’s the second book in the Jameson Force Seattle Series, and stands alone just fine. It was also one of my favorites of the year. I gave a more detailed review on my blog but held off on rating because I work for her. It’s live everywhere. The audiobook with Sean Masters and Erin Mallon is available in the Sawyer Bennett Bookstore or other retailers but not Amazon/Audible.
I picked up Vera Stein Is Fine by Julie Murphy fro I picked up Vera Stein Is Fine by Julie Murphy from NetGalley based on the cover alone, and I’m so glad I did. Vera is 40, plus-sized, childfree by choice, a little bit of a hot mess, and still trying to figure out what she wants from her life. She frustrated me sometimes, but she also felt incredibly REAL, and I never stopped rooting for her. This felt more like a coming-of-age story at 40 than a traditional romance, though there’s definitely a spicy second-chance romance in there too. I loved the quirky Starlight Palms crew, the humor, and seeing older characters living full, sexy lives.🎧 Narrated by Joy Nash with Teddy HamiltonSwipe for my tropes, quick take, ratings & audiobook info, then head to Ana’s Attic for my full review with all my Likes & Dislikes.
