8 Nights of Chrismukkah 2015 Night 1 – Rae Matthews

12/06/2015

Chrismukkah Rae Matthews

Welcome to Chrismukkah 2015! This is my fourth Chrismukkah celebration since I started Ana’s Attic. I do something different each year. This year, I will be featuring an author each night with a giveaway and something exclusive, from an extra scene, to an interview, to a favorite holiday memory, a poem, or just a list of favorite books.

Make sure you check back every day for the next 8 days because there will be some great giveaways, including signed books and gift cards!

Tonight’s Feature is RAE MATTHEWS

Rae has the distinct honor of being a friend/helper and an author, so we get an extra scene and her top 8 tonight!

Rae wrote 2 romantic comedies and has a third on the way. The first one, Sasha, was on my best of 2014 list!

Sasha (Mixed Drinks #1) by Rae Matthews

Sasha is the first book in the connected standalone series Mixed Drinks

When it comes to relationships, I have really bad luck. Each time I meet a guy, I cross my fingers and hope he is at least halfway normal. I’m so tired of dealing with crybabies and freak shows that I could just scream. At this point, I’m so close to just joining a convent, taking the vow of chastity, and calling it quits with men entirely. Well, I probably don’t need to go to that extreme… I mean who am I kidding? There’s no way I could be a nun. But becoming an old crotchety lady with 20 cats lurking around? Now THAT is a definite possibility. That is until I see him, my brown-eyed stallion man, swooping in to save me from an unforeseen wrinkly old balls attack, and then… he is gone. Well, not gone completely, because I can’t stop fantasizing about him.
I fantasize about him so much that when I finally do see him again, I make a complete and total ass of myself. Several times in fact. How I do not drop dead of embarrassment right then and there is beyond me.
So, remember I said I have really bad luck? Well, sit back, grab a glass of wine or your favorite mixed drink, and let me tell you how it all started, and how it all ends…

QUOTE MARKT-minus 2 hours to party time. Get your legs and vajayjay shaved, and Sasha, don’t forget those pits!!! No one wants to see the Sasquatch in you.”

I didn’t really know what it was about, and I had NO CLUE that I would end up laughing my ass off the whole book! Seriously, Sasha is up there with Tara Sivec, Alice Clayton and Laurel Ulen Curtis for favorite funny books. Sasha was laugh out loud funny and totally sweet and sexy. My perfect combo. I can’t wait to read more from Rae!

Kelly (Mixed Drinks #2) by Rae Matthews

Having your cake and eating it too is something everyone on the planet wants in life. For some, it is the happy family with two monsters for kids that no matter what happens, they can do no wrong, some it is fame on the big screen, being stalked by paparazzi and others, it is to travel the world seeing all that mother nature has to offer. Gag me with an overstuffed pillow. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted it all, but my vision of happiness is the dream job, the dream car, the awesome apartment and a plate of bacon all to myself. The only thing I didn’t want was a man. In my experience, men only cloud your judgment and replace your dreams with theirs.

Things were going according to plan until fate, karma, destiny, fortune or whatever you want to call it stepped in and said “Oh wait, no, I don’t think so.” and took it all from me.

For now I’m stuck mooching off my best friend and working desperately trying to figure out a way to get it all back. That is until fate slaps a Jesse in my face. But let me start from the beginning. So grab a plate of Bacon or your favorite snack and let me tell you all about it.

Kelly Rae Matthews

Kelly still had Rae’s unique, funny-as-hell, realistic way best friends talk kind of dialogue. It was a bit more over-the-top than Sasha, but it added a different, fun element. Hot cops, suspense, romance and comedy with characters you love? Rae does that. 🙂

Sasha Sexy Bonus Holiday Chapter! (Grab BOB!)

Christmas, how is it Christmas already? I’m not sure I’m ready to do the whole hang with the family for the holidays, and what on earth can I get for Emma that she hasn’t already blackmailed me for? Damn she devil. My biggest problem should be what do I get Bash, this is our first Christmas and we have’t been dating that long. I wish I knew what he was getting me, or at least how much he was spending. God I fucking hate this.

I close my eyes and picture us waking up Christmas morning, my hair and makeup are perfect, he is looking sexy as hell in his silk Santa boxers. He kisses me good morning; his breath is like fresh peppermint. We cuddle for a time while we watch the snow fall through the window. When we finally leave the comfort of bed and we walk out to the living room to find Santa has come, there is a fire in the fireplace, presents in the stockings… My eyes shoot open.

“What in the hell am I thinking about.” I say to myself I shake off the weird Hallmark channel movie scene I just stuck Bash and I into, I really need to stop watching so many cheesy Christmas movies. I grab my laptop and search ‘Christmas gifts for guys’, I have to say I had been more optimistic for the internet. As I click through images and blog suggestions, I see the usual crap. Tee Shirts with funny pictures and phases, golf clubs that double as a flask, miniature sports cars that also double ask a flask, I was also lucky enough to set eyes on a Rudolf Kini.

Now if you don’t know what a Kini is let me tell you. It is a piece of fabric that cups the balls and penis, then wraps up over the nipples back around to a thong style up the but crack look. In other words, something no man should wear. EVER! But it did give me an idea. Men love sex. They could care less about the sweater, tie, or other random thoughtless gifts women in new relationships generally go for as their failsafe gift. I think long and hard, then call Megan, she doesn’t fail me. Megan jumps at the chance to take me to the local adult store in town to see what they offer in the way of sexy outfits and toys.

When we enter the store a creepy douchbag looking guy is behind the counter. He offers a nod and returns to looking at the playboy he has in his hand.
“I don’t know Megan, this might be a bad idea.” I tell her.
“Come on, live a little.”
“I highly doubt we are going to find anything in here.” She reaches over to the nearest item and holds it up. “You mean you are not open to using a Santa shaped dildo with free peppermint flavored lube?” she jokes.
“That would be a no.” I laugh. We spend what seems like eternity wandering the store looking for the perfect gift. I have seen things that can never be unseen. My favorite has to be the vagina shaped suckers and the cornhusk dildo. I wish I was making this up. I don’t want to judge anyone but fuck, are you kidding me with this shit?

Megan calls out with excitement when we start looking at the sexy costumes. “Sasha, Sasha, look! This is perfect.” She says as she holds up a sexy elf costume.
“That could work.” I reply taking a closer look It has a cute green skirt trimmed with red lace; the top is small but still manages to cover the goods. It doesn’t leave much to the imagination, but I think that is the point. It also comes with a cute little hat and bells. Megan runs back over to the toys and grabs a polar bear cock ring with a bullet, a bottle of lube, and some hot wax candles. “You have to get these too, wrap these up wearing that little get up, tell him he has been naughty and if he wants to get back on the nice list he will need to be punished.” She explains.
“No way, I can’t do that.” I scold.
“Yes you can, it’s not like I’m telling you to put him in a gag ball and whip him.” she laughs. I give her the stink eye, it doesn’t faze her in the slightest. “You can do this, he will love you forever. I promise.” She continues. Hesitantly I take all the items to the checkout counter; I know I am going to regret this.

With Emma at grandma’s house for the night I decide tonight is probably the best night to give Bash his gift. It is still three days until Christmas, but I can’t really give him my gift when he has Emma. Bash is still at work so I have plenty of time to light some candles, get dressed, and be ready for when he gets home. I pull the small box out from under the bed where it had been hidden, and lay down to wait for Bash. I don’t wait long, I hear the door, I quickly hit play on the CD player. In the spirit of Christmas, I had to make a Sexy holiday mix for us to get kinky with. Do you know how hard it was to find songs?

Bash enters the bedroom. When he sees me laying on the bed waiting for him, his initial confusion changes to a large smile. “Hey.” He says as he leans against the wall.
“I heard you were a naughty boy this year.” The words sound foreign as they come out.
“Yes, I believe I have been.”
“Santa sent me to help you get back on the nice list.” It takes everything I have not to laugh.
“He did, did he?”
“Yes he did, why don’t you come over here and open your gift.” I say, pushing the small box closer to him. Bash’s eyes are glowing with anticipation as he walks to the edge of the bed.

There is no hesitation as he picks up the box and rips off the wrapping paper. When he opens the lid his reaction is priceless. “Sasha, I had no idea you were so kinky.” He smiles. I blush as he pulls out the soft nylon rope Megan made me stop at Menards to get on the way home that day. I wasn’t convinced Bash would be ok with that, however the look on his face tells me he is all in.
“Santa’s little helper aims to please.” I reply.
He rips his clothes off as if they are on fire, when he lays down on the bed next to me his erection is hard to miss. His lips touch mine; they are so soft and filled with passion. As his hips move closer to mine I desperately want him inside me.
“Oh no you don’t.” I call out.
“You said you aim to please”
“But you are still on the naughty list.” I smile.
“Then we should fix that.” he smiles back.
“Lay back.” I tell him I grab the rope and tie it to the headboard then to each of his arms.

I give him a little tease of me before jumping up to run to the kitchen to get a lighter. How did I forget a lighter? I run back to the bedroom where Bash’s erection greets me. When I get back the song It’s Christmas Let’s have Sex by Duke Tumatoe is playing, Bash starts laughing whether hears the lyrics.
“Where the hell did find these songs?” He asks.
“It wasn’t easy, but you would be surprised what I found out there.” I laugh.

His laughter subsides when I climb on top of him. I lean over to grab the candles from the box and then slide down to put him in my mouth. He moans when he feels my lips touch him. I rotate my tongue around his tip to wet him. After a Bash moans a few more times, I move up to receive my pleasure. I move my lady bits over his tip to tease and in one fluid motion I let him in. He cries out in pleasure as I rotate my hips pushing him in deeper.
“My god Sasha.” He calls out.
“Oh we are just getting started.”
I lift my hips and push them down again, I love the way he feels inside me. I reach for the candles and light the wick. I’ve never used them before so I’m not sure if I’m doing this right.
“You ready?” I ask.
“Whatever you want to do to me, I’m yours.” He tells me with a smile
“Close your eyes.” I whisper. Bash does as I ask without hesitation; I start to rotate my hips in a circle allowing him to move within me. He tries to move his tied hands toward me, and that is when I drip a few drops of the wax on his right nipple.
“Ay.” He calls out.
“I’m sorry, not good.”
“I’m not sure, it was different.”
“Should I stop?” I ask.
“I’m not sure, try it again.” He smiles.
“Ok, but old on.” I set the candle in a taper holder I put on the end table. I reach for the polar bear cock ring and slide it on him. He smiles, knowing that since his arms are tied and mine busy with the wax that my clit is being neglected. I let him back in and turn the bullet to level one. The little ring doesn’t disappoint, it knows right where to be to help a girl out. I reach back for the candle and again ask Bash to close his eyes. I continue to drip wax on him from time to time and he doesn’t complain. When he asks me to drip some on myself, I don’t think, I just do. To my surprise it was extremely arousing, as if I wasn’t aroused enough. It wasn’t too hot and send a surge of excitement coursing through my body. Bash moves his hips under me causing the cock ring to rub my clit in just the right way. I can feel the pressure building within me. My explosion is near. I blow out the candle and toss it to the floor not caring about the mess it will create. I arch my back and put my hands on the bed behind me, Bash still moving his hips to the rhythm of whatever fucked up Christmas song is playing now. My hips move with him, faster and faster until our orgasms consume us. I fall next to Bash and untie one of his arms; he cradles me next to him giving me a kiss.
“Sasha, my god that was amazing.” He says gasping for air.
“Merry Christmas.” I smile.

1. Dangerous Temptations by Brooke Cumberland

From USA Today Bestselling Author Brooke Cumberland comes a sexy and captivating contemporary romance stand alone about making wrong decisions, lines being crossed, and boundaries being broken…

One night was all it took…
One night to ruin everything I thought I knew.

From the outside, I had the perfect lifestyle.
Wealthy fiancé, blossoming career, amazing friends.

I wasn’t looking to get married yet, but when William—“Manhattan’s royalty”—charmed his way into my life, I couldn’t deny the security and comfort that overcame me.

To society, I was the girl only after his money. I was the party-goer who managed to seduce a man twice my age to have the lifestyle some could only dream of. I was every magazine’s cliché of what a gold-digging whore was.

I wanted to prove them wrong—that our love was real and that I wasn’t that girl.

But then everything changed.
One wrong decision. One unfaithful night. One haunting reality.
Perhaps they were right.

The media didn’t see it coming…and neither did I.

**This is a full-length stand alone contemporary romance novel with no cliffhanger. HEA depends on who you ask.**

Recommended for readers 18 and up due to strong language and explicit sexual content.

2. Baking and Babies (Chocoholics #3) by Tara Sivec

“I’m pregnant.”

Molly Gilmore had a good life before she uttered those two stupid words. While preparing to graduate from culinary school and building up the courage to make a move on her hot, sugar-cookie-smelling pastry instructor Marco, she can’t wait to finally have the GREAT life she’s always dreamed about, instead of just the good one she’s been living.

Always known as the quiet ninja, she fully intends to stay hidden in the shadows with her nut-job family, so they have no chance to embarrass her around the man she’s crushed on for two years. Unfortunately, her family has other plans. When they yank her straight out of her comfort zone, she finds herself starring in the craziest train wreck she’s ever witnessed.

Molly ultimately gets a more exciting life that doesn’t revolve around school, but she’s pretty sure the man of her dreams won’t be sticking around long after her family gets ahold of him. There aren’t too many guys who can handle smelling like pee, having the whole world know how he masturbates, and being forced to eat an entire bag of dicks.

Join the Chocolate Lovers and Chocoholics gang for one final story about love, baked goods, making poor life choices, and remembering how important family is—even if they drive you insane.

Mostly because it’s illegal to kill them.

~DEE~

I’ve always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn’t need a man.

But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.

All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have.

So I did the only thing I know how to do.
I run.
But he just won’t let me go.

~BECK~

The second I see her, I know she will be mine. I see past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. I see HER. She doesn’t want me to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but I make it my mission to find out.

To make her mine.

She can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop me from coming after her.
She’s it for me and she knows it.
She’s just too scared to admit it.

Do you take me seriously? Because I don’t. I use my jokes and easygoing personality to hide the pain I’ve felt since he took his last breath. I’m adrift without my partner in crime, my best friend…my brother. I can taste the vengeance just within my grasp.

Until she barges into my life. Promising me happiness and a peace I’ve been craving for years. She is the sun to my darkness, the happy to my despair.

But she holds secrets. Just like I do. She holds hers close, where I just pray mine don’t rock the walls we’re trying to build.

Now I’m stuck at a crossroads between my desire for revenge and my craving for her and the life we could have together—and I have no idea which road I should travel.

All I know with crystal clear certainty is that the past has the power to destroy it all.

8. Don’t Call Me Kit Kat by K.J. Farnham

Junior high is where things really start to happen. Cliques form and break apart. Couples are made and destroyed. And a reputation is solidified that you won’t ever be able to escape. Everything you do and say, and everyone you spend your time with, matters.

Katie Mills knows that. She gets it. That’s why she tried so hard to get in with the cool girls at school. And why she was so devastated when those efforts found her detained for shoplifting and laughed out of cheer squad tryouts.

But Katie has more to worry about than just fitting in. Her parents are divorced and always fighting. Her sister never has time for her. And her friends all seem to be drifting apart. Even worse? The boy she has a crush on is dating the mean girl at school.

Everything is a mess, and Katie doesn’t feel like she has control over any of it. Certainly not over her weight, which has always topped out at slightly pudgier than normal—at least, according to her mother.

So when she happens to catch one of the popular girls throwing up in the bathroom one day, it sparks an idea. A match that quickly engulfs her life in flames.

Is there any going back once she gets started down this path?

And would she even want to if she could?

In 2022, the entire Tattered and Torn series released, and I loved every single one of them. I listened to them all on audio, and they each deserve a place on my Best of 2022 list, especially Fractured Sky, which I gave a rare 5+++ stars to.

They also have the most beautiful covers!

The first two audiobooks in this unrelated series The first two audiobooks in this unrelated series were on my Best of 2021 List, and Seatmate by @carabastone has continued the streak for my Best of 2022 list. The full cast narration and the production of this “audioplay” is what made Seatmate a 5-star read for me. I really felt like I was eavesdropping on a real conversation. This was a quick and fun listening experience, and though it’s nothing epic, it stood out to me in 22.

I enjoyed The Back Nine by Rachel Blaufeld. It’s I enjoyed The Back Nine by Rachel Blaufeld. It’s rare to find books about older couples and I so appreciate when an author writes a sexy one. I had a couple of issues with it, and I really struggled with the heroine’s name, James. Every time I read her name (and the female MC for the next book is Billy) my brain had to catch up for a second that it was a girl.

Taking the Leap by Kristen Ashley is my favorite book she has written in a while. It very much focuses on Alex and Rix and it didn’t feel like I had to remember a ton of other characters. I felt their chemistry and how perfect they are for each other.
