My favorite July read wasn’t a best seller (yet!), but it was SCENT OF SALVATION by Annie Nicholas, a paranormal romance/sci-fi romance. Her writing is just so witty, but not obnoxiously so, and she writes one heck of a love scene!

FAVORITE BOOK/AUDIOBOOK THIS YEAR! Mary Jane by @j FAVORITE BOOK/AUDIOBOOK THIS YEAR! Mary Jane by @jessicaanyablau was so amazing, especially in audio. This coming-of-age novel set in 1975 was different than what I usually read, and I so enjoyed seeing the 14-year-old sheltered heroine see what life is like nannying for a progressive family who happens to be hiding a rock star for the summer.

Mary Jane is the perfect summer read, especially if you grew up during this time, and the narration by @caitlin.kinnunen was absolutely outstanding.

I couldn’t recommend it more.

The full cast narration and the production of this The full cast narration and the production of this “audioplay” is what made Seatmate a 5-star read for me. The storyline was cute and I loved the characters, but it wasn’t a deep, epic romance, it was a sweet and fun novella. Listening to it with headphones made it a full experience, and Amanda Ronconi and Zachary Webber felt so natural. I really felt like I was eavesdropping on a real conversation, and it just made Seatmate by @carabastone another 5 star favorite.
I love this whole series!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by @tjenkinsreid The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by @tjenkinsreid is such a layered story, and it’s an important one. There are messages and themes running throughout to embrace all of yourself, and it shows what women have had to do throughout the years to get ahead. It’s filled with brilliant social commentary without ever hitting you over the head with it. It’s light at times, heavy at others, but engrossing the whole time. This is a book I am happy to recommend to anyone looking for a great book with our asking any qualifying questions.

I’m just starting this audiobook about a couple I’m just starting this audiobook about a couple married for 35 years, about to get a divorce, when the pandemic lockdown hits. Will being forced to be “safe at home” together help or end the marriage faster?

Tell me, what are your thoughts on pandemic romances? Is it too soon? Personally, I like it. It feels weird to not mention something that has been part of our lives for over 2 years. I will let you know how I like it later this week, stay tuned!

I swear off men. I book a trip to England to find myself.
Instead I find a sexy English farmer who looked at me like he wanted to kiss my feet in thanks and then strip me naked to thank me some more.”

Much Ado About You by @authorsamanthayoung is a booklover’s fantasy romance. Samantha did a fabulous job of transporting us to this little English town and falling for the townspeople and the bookstore.
