Lauren Blakey just secured another spot on my top books of 2016 list with Well Hung. I’ve been gradually listening to her back catalogue and I am loving every book by her, but this series of male POV books are absolute favorites, and with them, Lauren Blakely has also secured her spot on myĀ list of favorite authors who I will drop everything to read.

“Hereā€™s what you need to know about me ā€” Iā€™m well-off, well-hung and quick with a joke. Women like a guy who makes them laughā€”and I donā€™t mean at the size of his d*ck. No, they want their funny with a side of hugeā€¦ not to mention loyal. Iā€™ve got all that plus a big bank account, thanks to my booming construction business.Ā Yup. I know how to use all my tools.”

Wyatt Hammer (Nick from Mister O‘s twin) is one of the good ones. He’s just an all around good guy who is really good with his hammer. WH kitchens has become pretty successful. Even more so since he hired Natalie, his beautiful assistant. Wyatt doesn’t let his workers disrespect women, and he never would either. Plus, he knows better than to get involved with an employee. The problem? Someone needs to tell his dick that too.

ā€œFucking dicks. Sometimes itā€™s unfair that we have these fuckers to do battle with all day. And believe me, it is an epic battle. Man versus hard-on. Man rarely wins. Boners are too powerful.ā€

WyattĀ has mixed business and pleasure before with disastrous results, leaving him with a ton of trust issues. Besides, he and Natalie have a great friendship going, and she is invaluable to his business. She has a little wild tomboy side to her, she competes with him on who can eat the spiciest food, she helps him on the job, has aĀ 3rd degree black belt,Ā andĀ teaches martial arts at night.

ā€œSheā€™s the perfect, all-American girl, like an apple pie, and I just want to eat her up.
I mean, I donā€™t want that.
Fuck, that came out wrong.
I totally donā€™t want to eat my assistant. Or bang my assistant. Or bend my assistant over the desk.ā€

But when an opportunity to remodel a kitchen in a Vegas penthouse comes up, they hop on a jet to Vegas.

“With Natalie radiating energy and excitement, Iā€™m thinking blonde with a side of spanking is my favorite. Maybe an appetizer of hot hungry kisses, a main dish of hardcore fucking, and for dessert, we’d go for doubles.
Shit.
I went there again.ā€

After a few drinks, they decide to have the epic Vegas experience, all in one night, including roller coasters (holy crap, that was hot), slot machines (so was that), fountains, and of course, the Elvis wedding chapel. When he wakes up in the morning, he isn’t sure who is in bed with him, till he notices the rings.

Now you may think “Really? A drunk Vegas wedding? Waking up and not remembering? It’s been done over and over.” Maybe so, but in Well Hung it all seemed unique and fresh and new. When he wakes up to his efficient assistant already arranging to get the divorce annulled he isn’t sure whether to be relieved or upset as they try to leave Vegas in the past and get back to their regular lives.

“Fuck,” I mutter.
“What’s wrong?”
My dick is an iron spike and my brain is a carousel of images of your supremely tantalizing naked body, that’s what’s wrong. But we can solve it easily if you’d spread your legs and let me eat you out right the fuck now.
“Nothing’s wrong. All good.”

It may seem like I told the whole story here, but I didn’t go further than the Amazon blurb. Believe me, there is so much to discover in Well Hung. I literally hugged my phone when I finished and I can’t move on yet.

Likes:

  • Lauren Blakely writes amazing male point of view.
  • How the third wall is broken down between Wyatt and the reader, but it isn’t overdone at all.
  • I love how we got a little of Natalie’s POV through texts to her sister.
  • Visiting with couples from Big Rock and Mister O as well as the two couples coming up from Full Package and Joy Stick.
  • Daring, fun, public sex.
  • References to The Hangover.
  • I smiled the whole time from the first word to the last.
  • I laughed out loud, but there was nothing over the top.
  • I absolutely loved both Natalie and Wyatt.
  • Great secondary characters, even just through text.
  • I read it in one day, just gobbled it up.

Dislikes:Ā 

  • Absolutely nothing.

The Down & Dirty:

You honestly couldn’t write a more perfect book for me than Well Hung. If someone asked what my favorite kind of book is, I’d say “Check out Well Hung (or Big Rock or Mister O)”. I love the sexy male point of view, the confident/cocky manly man (oh yes, that tool belt! Yum!), the lovable heroine I totally want to be friends with, the incredibly hot sex, the fun banter, the friendship between the couple, and how obvious it is that they belong together. Well Hung took a common theme in books and movies and made it totally unique and fresh. With the perfect blend of heat, humor, heart, and horny male pov, Lauren Blakely has written another book that will easily fall on my all-time favorite list.

*Note: Sebastian York narrates the audiobook. I loved how he did Big Rock, so I look forward to re-reading this one on audio before Full Package comes out.

Though technically this isn’t considered a series, it is. They are all male POV, and they all know each other. While they each easily stand alone, I advise reading in order since each couple turns up in the next books.
