Friends with Benefits was one of the first author requested books I read for the blog. CC Wood was a brand spanking new author, and I read the book and fell in love. All 3 of these novellas have fun, snarky heroines and hot alpha guys (plus they are only 99 cents!). They are fun and sexy, and remind me of a mini Kristen Ashley book. Each book can stand alone, as they are about a different friend.
Friends with Benefits (Girl Next Door 1)
Ā by C.C. Wood
Natalie York is done with relationships. D-O-N-E. After her latest loverboy hits on her best friend, she’s tired of playing games and having her heart broken. From now on, she’s keeping things casual.
When Nat meets her sexy new neighbor, Aidan Hart, she decides his offer to be friends with benefits is perfect. Soon, Nat discovers perfection isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Her ex reveals himself to be a slightly insane stalker, and, even worse, Nat discovers that keeping her heart locked up tight isn’t working out like she planned. Either way, she’s certain she’s in for a bumpy ride.
Frenemies (Girl Next Door 2)
Ā by C.C. Wood
Cat Johnson has been badly burned in the past and likes to keep her relationships simple and, usually, short. When her best friend, Nat, gets engaged, Cat meets Nat’s future brother-in-law, Patrick Hart, and sparks fly. The only hitch is his fiancee, Anya. Angry and disillusioned, Cat spends the next six months trading barbs with Patrick.
All that changes after Nat and Aidan get hitched. During the newlywed’s two week honeymoon, Cat offers to housesit, only to discover her now-single arch nemesis is living next door. He’s persistent and sexy-as-hell in his pursuit of her and Cat discovers there’s more to like, maybe even love, about Patrick Hart than she once thought. She wonders if she can trust this man with her heart or too afraid to try.
Drive Me Crazy (Girl Next Door 3)Ā by C.C. Wood
Amy Bennett has a type- tall, dark, and jerky. After being used and tossed aside one too many times, she decides enough is enough. No more pretty boys. Instead, Amy begins dating Grayson . Lean, quiet, and average looking, heās the exact opposite of almost every man sheās ever been involved with.
Her resolve is tested when Troy Castillo moves into the other half of her duplex. Heās the embodiment of her usual kind of man; including the inconsiderate behavior. Within days Troy is making her nuts.
Things with Grayson start fizzling out and keeping Troy at armās length becomes impossible as someone begins to harass Amy. Harmless but obnoxious pranks soon turn violent and destructive. Troy refuses to back off and he is determined to protect her, whether she likes it or not.
Amy knows she can trust Troy to keep her safe but can she trust him with her heart?

Kelly says
I have only read the first book in the series but enjoyed it immensely. I have been biding my time to getting around to the other two.

The third will be out on Thursday. But they are quick reads, great in between angstier books.

I love this series! I can’t wait for the next one to come out this week! Do you know if the characters in this book are ones we saw in the previous two?
Ana's Attic says
