Three Blind Dates by Meghan Quinn (Dating by the Numbers 1)
Standalone start to a series of related books. Romantic Comedy.
I say it every time I read one of her books, but I think I have a new favorite Meghan Quinn book, and what a way to start the year! Let me start by saying you totally need to watch Youâve Got Mail with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan before you read Three Blind Dates by Meghan Quinn. I was loving the book, but decided that I would love it even more if I watched the movie again because there was so many references to the film, so I paused my read, watched the movie (and remembered how much I loved it) and went back, and Iâm glad I did!
Noely Clark is a morning show TV host. She is a romantic, and is looking to find âthe oneâ to settle down with. But she is busy and itâs hard to meet men. There is a hot new restaurant in town, âGoing in Blindâ that uses an app with sophisticated matching techniques to find you âthe oneâ, and then you meet at the restaurant for your first date.
THE SUIT: Noelyâs first date is a dream-come-true. They say your first match is the best one, and he seemed perfect. He is a sexy, domineering businessman who is great at romancing, and harbors some secrets. Everything was going greatâŠuntil it wasnât.
THE REBEL: The artist/slash biker was all about the passion. He was totally sexy, had a cute nickname for her, and the chemistry was panty-melting off the charts. But was he ready for something more?
THE JOCK: Funny, protective, sweet, and a gorgeous wall of muscle, he is a professional athlete and star but is totally normal and fun. But something may be missing.
Three seemingly perfect guys. But they all had their issues, and it didnât work out with any of them. UntilâŠ
Noely,
What if I were to tell you I could possibly be The Suit, The Rebel, or The Jock? Would you be interested in seeing one of them again? Maybe give one of them a second chance? Or have you written them all off?
Me
This is my favorite thing in books! I LOVE when couples message each other in books, getting to know each other on a different level without all the passion getting in the way at first. Like in Youâve Got Mail, they developed a relationship via e-mail (messaging on the app), and she fell for him, not knowing who the guy was.
This story had everything I love! I literally laughed so hard I cried at one point (Alex and Lauren are my favorite couple ever), yet there were some serious, more emotional scenes, sweet scenes, sexy scenes and a lot of totally swoony romantic scenes. I love Meghan Quinnâs stories so much, and itâs amazing how she churns out 5 star reads that fight for position on my Best of the Year lists.
âI wanted it to be you. I wanted it to be you so badly.â
