Chase Me by Tessa Bailey (Broke and Beautiful series)

Chase Me was different from classic Tessa Bailey novels…but no less fabulous. I think it officially falls into the NA category of romance; therefore, the steam level is a little less than the norm for her. But don’t think that means there wasn’t an abundance of HOT…because hot damn, there was!

“Please, baby. Go lower.” His voice sounded like gravel. “One squeeze so I can finally know what it feels like to have your hands on me.”

I absolutely fell in love with both Roxy and Louis. Maybe it was the fact that Roxy first meets Louis when she is dressed in a giant bunny costume singing him a song that is an ode to his manhood ….I don’t know. But, the humor and snarky banter was fantastic! I was laughing out loud almost immediately! Between Louis and his boys, Roxy and her roommates, Louis and his Twin Terror sisters, and Louis and Roxy together… not to mention their individual inner monologues…I was in stitches!!!

“A man drinks pinot grigio, he grows boobs. It’s science.”

But aside from the humor and off the charts the sexual tension, there was a plethora of SWEET…the kind of sweet that evokes the feels…all of them.

“…you were so goddamn beautiful, I don’t think I’ve taken a decent breath since.”

Tessa never disappoints me. I will automatically buy anything she publishes. And I instantly wanted to pick up Need Me…so I did.

RATING: 4.75 Stars for storyline, 4.5 for heat

Need Me by Tessa Bailey (Broke and Beautiful series)

Damn. Hot mother effing damn. Tessa Bailey does it again. Need Me the second book in her Broke and Beautiful series, and Ben and Honey rocked my world. You meet both of these characters in Chase Me, so you are already a little bit in love with them. But as you get to know them in Need Me, Ben and Honey become part of you. It’s a fabulous thing.

This story has your classic student/teacher, forbidden romance feel…plus so much more. I’m going to call it the “Tessa Effect”…she takes a classic storyline, adds her pixie dust, and makes beautiful magic. And maybe I am a bit biased with this one, because I LOVE a man with intellect…especially one who not only reads and teaches literature, but who breathes it into his soul. Ben had me at his glasses and tweed jacket. Aww, Ben…will you write me a story?? Please??

And Honey…who doesn’t adore a beautiful girl with sweet southern charm. A girl who cooks her feelings out. A girl who is fierce and protective of those she loves. A girl who is as smart as she is sweet. Home run.

This story was real, sweet, and sexy. This group of characters are the kind I want to crawl into the story and become friends with. They are hilarious! Example…

“The party on Friday was supposed to be the meshing of two super groups. You kind of fucked that up by trying to jackhammer the coconut, man”

And the chemistry between Honey and Ben could not be denied…hard as they tried.

“Listen to me.” He waited for her to nod. “You’re going to take me somewhere now where I can see you without your panties on. I’m going to get you off good and hard, maybe a few times. And then, Honey, we’re going to talk.” He bucked his hips into her twice. “But first, I’m going to fuck you so dirty, you won’t be able to look anyone but me in the eye afterward. Have you heard everything I’ve said?”

*Panting*…shiiiiiit. Ben is a naughty, naughty boy under that cool, calm, and collected professor vibe.

All in all, this book was another amazing masterpiece. Standing ovation, Tessa!!
