Dirty Sexy Saint by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde Narrated by Sophie Eastlake
Contemporary Romance. Stands Alone. The rest of the Series has related characters.
As a fan of both Carly Philips and Erika Wilde, I was excited to read Dirty Sexy Saint, a USA Today bestseller. The premise sounded right up my alley, so when I saw it was on audible, I grabbed it. Ok, honestly, I don’t think I really ever read the blurb. But with those two authors and that title, how can I not click?
While the narrator’s voice was OK for the female, when she did the male parts, I couldn’t stand it. But I got over that and still got into the hot little story.
Samantha Jamieson is basically a spoiled little rich girl. She has been dating a guy for a while but doesn’t feel very strongly about him and is about to break up with him, when she overhears her father talking to him about marrying herĀ so he can take over the family business. When Samantha realizes she is being forced into an arranged marriage at 26, she leaves with nothing more than the clothes on her back.
She proceeds to the other side of town where she goes into aĀ bar, Kincaids, and orders every dirty drink possible. Soon she is drunk, broke and had no place to go. That’s where “Saint Clay” steps in. Clay is the gorgeous owner of the bar, and he has a habit of taking in strays. After she pukedĀ all over her fancyĀ clothes, Clay took care of her and put her to bed in his bed like a gentleman. With no other real choice for a good guy,Ā and thinking she would run home to daddy by the end of her shift, Clay offered her a job waitressing. Surprisingly, she turned out to be a hard worker who is much more down to earth than expected from her upbringing.
Samantha wants the gorgeously tattooed Clay. Clay wants Samantha, but he doesn’t want to dirty up her fancy innocence. But she lets him know she wants it…
“Youāre playing with the hottest kind of fire there is, Cupcake.ā
He held off as much as he could.
“I don’t want to be a good girl anymore. I want to be very bad with you, Saint Clay.”
“I’m not a saint, Cupcake. Especially when it comes to fucking.”
“That’s good, because I don’t really want a saint…I want a sinner.”
If she wanted a sinner, well, sinning was what he did best.
That’s what she needed. Not someone who was afraid to get dirty during sex. She wanted dirty…Clay will give it to her.
“I donāt do soft and gentle and sweet. I like to control and fuck so hard and deep youāll scream and be sore the next day. Iād want you on your knees, with my hands fisted in your hair while you suck my cock, and then Iād bend you over this table, spread your legs wide, and fuck you all over again.ā
The chemistry and connection between the couple, and the ease that she fit into his life was amazing. But when secrets threaten, and her past wealthy life comes in to play, and his past threatens to destroy everything, can the rich girl and the guy from the other side of the tracks make it?
“He left no part of her untouched. Physically, he owned her. Emotionally, he felt so right, so much a part of her. So inevitable.ā
