Take me is the third hot and sexy rock star book in the novella series “One Night with Sole Regret” by Olivia Cunning. Each of these books have featured one sexy night with a different guy in the band. Again, these are each about ONE sexy night, so they end with a Happy for Now (HFN) but leave you dying to know what the future holds for the couples.
Take Me was way better than the second book about Adam, Tempt Me. I was actually a little nervous about this book, because Shade seemed like such a dick in the previous two books, but HOLY PANTIES ON FIRE, this book redeemed itself!!!
Shade, the lead singer of Sole Regret, is racing back to town to make it for his little girl’s birthday. Immediately we see the amazing, sensitive side of Shade who loves his little girl and would do anything for her (there is nothing sexier than a good dad who is also a fuck-hot rock star). His ex-wife is a total bitch, who puts him down for everything right in front of their daughter. Shade has a bit of an esteem problem and hides behind his shades to cover his extremely expressive eyes, and the ex knows right how to go for his jugular. But her older sister, Amanda, is another story. Shade (Jacob) has always felt a special kinship with her, but could never do anything about it because she’s his ex sister-in-law. Amanda has had a crush on Jacob for years, but never felt she could measure up to the “Busty Lusty McGillicutty who undoubtedly knew her way around a penis” type of girls he usually went for.
Jacob always flirted with Amanda because “It was refreshing to flirt with a woman who didn’t think it meant she had to fall on his dick with a missile-seeking vagina” but when he does flirt with her, “Amanda’s panties were going to need scuba gear if they got any wetter.” (I loved that line!) They decide to spend a friendly night together watching movies and eating pizza, but of course, as the “One Night With Sole Regret” series goes, it turns into one LONG night of WOW. That boy has stamina! (Brings back memories of my ‘one night stand’ with my now husband.)
They started out on the sofa, then the hot tub, where Gabe comes for a visit asking Amanda some ‘interesting’ questions that had me cracking up. You see, he’s working on a new gadget for Melanie. Let me just say right here Gabe, I will be your guinea pig and try out any of your gadgets, I’ll happily market them here on Ana’s Attic as well! 😉 Oh sorry, I was sidetracked here. When Jacob and Amanda move into the bedroom:
“But I’ve retired Jacob for the evening. Now it’s time for Shade to come out and play.”
Remember, Jacob is the lead singer of Sole Regret. He knows how to put on the performance of a lifetime. And his bedroom is SET UP, plus he is a total kinkster (no complaints here!) and has stamina like you wouldn’t believe.
“Dear lord. If I didn’t thoroughly enjoy every minute with you I’d put my pussy on strike”
This one wasn’t just about the sex, though there was a lot of the good stuff. I was able to connect with the characters emotionally, the plot and characters were better developed than the last book, plus we got a visit from all the previous characters. I can’t imagine how the future of this couple can pan out, but I sure hope I find out!
Likes:
- I loved getting to know the Jacob behind the shades.
- The casual, comfortable relationship between the couple.
- We finally learn the reason behind Adam and Shades animosity.
- HOT, STEAMY SEX.
- That Amanda liked Jacob more than ‘Shade’.
Dislikes:
- Shade using his choreographed moves that he has clearly used often on Amanda.
