LOVE, LOVE, LOVED it!!!! Lover Reborn may have been one of my favorites from the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. It was very different to me. It was about more than Tohr, there was a lot of John and Xhex (she pissed me off a lot during this book), of Lassiter, of Blay and Quinn, and even more of Wrath. I never wanted to see Tohr with anyone but Wellsie. How can you move on from a love like that? But what I really enjoyed was that it happened over the course of a year, there was no rushing this relationship.
I enjoyed reading more about the Band of Bastards rather than the Lessors. I much prefer this enemy. I can’t wait to read more about them. But I still found myself wanting more of the brothers and less of the enemy.
This book began slowly for me. I was even thinking that maybe I just wasn’t into BDB so much anymore. I was actually able to put it aside for a bit to read a steamier book. But then, around halfway through, BAM! It became amazing, and I realized the slower beginning was necessary.
I have loved Tohr from the beginning. Such a good man–a good friend, husband and father to John. I was so glad to read more about him, and watch him gradually heal. I was also one of the ones who liked No’one from the beginning, and hoped she would have a life after her tragedy as a young woman.
This book paved the way for many future stories for Lassiter, Blay and Quinn, Layla and the band of brothers. I can’t wait for the next!
