My Favorite Souvenir by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward
Narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York
Standalone Romantic ComedyÂ
I highly advise not reading the blurb of My Favorite Souvenir by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward unless you want the whole story basically spoiled for you. I’m glad I didn’t read it first, I just grabbed it because I love this duo’s writing and they never let me down.
Hazel went on her Vail Honeymoon alone after her fiancé dumped her, but a snowstorm left her stranded without a room. When she saw a handsome man tricking the front desk into giving him someone else’s room, she quickly joined the charade.
It’s been so long since Hazel has had an adventure, her handsome new friend decided to help her out.
Without knowing each others real names, the pair ended up on a fun road trip.
“So, the Hookers are going to a party, and we don’t even know what it’s for?”
“Does it really matter? Have any of the destinations we’ve hit mattered? It’s the experience, the thrill of the unknown. It’s never the destination.”
The first half of My Favorite Souvenir was so much fun. It was all the banter and cute and fun story that Vi and Penelope do so well. But then real life kicked in and I think the book sort of lost its way.
“Life is too short to waste it with people you’re not passionate about or doing something you’re not passionate about. And right now…I’m passionate about doing you.”
