May 2026 Review and Release Recap
So, I’ve been dating a new guy and going out so much more that I haven’t had as much time to read and review. I also re-listened to Shield of Sparrows which was almost 20 hours, then I listened to Rites of the Starling by Devney Perry. Those two alone were like 6 regular length books! But it was worth it. Rules for the Summer by Meghan Quinn was also over 15 hours. It seems like books are getting longer, and I don’t mind it when I love the book SO MUCH, as long as it’s not stuffed with fluff for KU page reads. So since one was a re-read, I only got 4 reviews posted (though I read 7-8 books, I need to catch up on reviews). I also listened to A Curse of Beasts and Magic by Jeaniene Frost and I loved it so much! My review should be up later this week, but it’s my birthday this week, so we will see.
Here are the reviews I posted in May:
- Just Playing for Keeps by Lauren Blakely | ALC Review 4.5 Stars
- Crosby by Sawyer Bennett | Audiobook Review (No star rating due to possible bias)
- Rites of the Starling by Devney Perry | Audiobook Review 4 Stars
- Rules for the Summer by Meghan Quinn | Audiobook Review. 4.5 Stars
- The Shippers by Katherine Center | Audiobook Review 4.5 Stars
Below are all of the May book and audiobook releases. The audiobook section only has already popular books that had a separate audio release. If the book and audiobook release together, you will see a headphone under the book. I do not include virtual voice in my audiobook lists.
These are the new notable audiobook releases for very popular books that released earlier. I do not include AI Narration on this list
