House of Scarlett by Meghan March
Narrated by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon
Book 2 of 3, Contemporary Romance. Does not stand alone.
House of Scarlett is Book 2 in the Legend Trilogy by Meghan March, and does not stand alone. If you havenāt read the first in the trilogy, The Fall of Legend, go read it! This second installment doesnāt feel like filler like so many other 2nd books in trilogies do. House of Scarlett had a ton of character development, and it really made me love both Scarlett and Gabriel more, both as a couple and separately.
While I really enjoyed The Fall of Legend, I found it to be a little slower than most of Meghanās other books, but the pace and excitement really picked up in House of Scarlett and there are lots of twists and turns.
āWhat was I thinking? That somehow we could come from completely different worlds and have a fairy-tale romance, complete with a happily-ever-after?ā
We learn a lot about Gabrielās heartbreaking history and we get to know (and like) Scarlett so much more. Gabriel really turned from a grumbling brute to a caring partner, and Scarlett became much more real, not just a social media icon. I really enjoyed how the characters grew and changed, and how sweet the brutal fighter could be.
The chemistry between the couple is incendiary, but itās the other relationships in this story that I really loved the most. Gabrielās and Bumpās relationship is so special to read about, and any girl would be lucky to have the great friends that Scarlett had. But my favorite character was Flynn! I see a series in her future as well (hopefully).
And HOLY CLIFFHANGER. Once again, Meghan March just about KILLED ME leaving me like that!!! HURRY!!! I NEED The Fight for Forever RIGHT.NOW.
