Welp…I’m officially an empty nester. It’s just me, my cat and my dog. I cried before I dropped my youngest son at college, but I haven’t cried yet since I left him. I don’t think it’s actually hit me yet. I’ve posted a little about it on my other blog, Starting on Monday. Next week I am headed to Readers on the River in KY with friends, so until then I am listening to only authors that will be there. I listened to the first in the Charlie Davidson Series by Darynda Jones on the way to and from dropping my son off to school, and it totally kept me distracted from all of my emotions. I’m now listening to the second in the series. It reminds me a lot of Janet Evonovich’s Stephanie Plum series, just with a paranormal twist. I am also reading my ARC of Fighting The Pull by Kristen Ashley. Perfect timing, because she is the one author who I know will suck me in and distract me from my emptiness.
This week Tyrant comes out by RK Lilley. It’s been like 6 years since she released last and I can’t wait to read it! The Breakaway by Jennifer Weiner and The Love Plot by Samantha Young also release this week and I loved them both. Click the titles for my spoiler-free reviews.
